Stable cottage, called Cairngorm cottage sleeps 4 on Airbnb, is a self catering ground floor cottage. It is wheelchair accessible with wide doors, a ramp to the door, no internal steps and a very large walk in shower room and toilet. It comprises a combined living/ dining room containing twin beds and also a kitchen area, and a small bedroom with two bunk beds. It thus sleeps 4 and works well for a family with 2 young children. The kitchen contains a cooker, microwave, fridge and all cooking equipment. There is a TV with internal DVD player, hi-fi and wi-fi.

There is shared access to the garden, parking area, washing/ drying room and ironing board/ iron. The cottage faces North West with superb views up to the Monadhliath mountains. It is equipped to the same standard as the other 2 cottages but the small bedroom meant it was graded 2* by VisitScotland from 2007-12 (we have now left the scheme).

The cottage is regularly painted and upgraded, last painted 2018. Original artwork within the cottage gives it a homely feel. There is a selection of books and games as well as local information and a walking guide. The living area has non-slip flooring, ideal for doing artwork.

This cottage is available for long stays and at reduced rates for singles in low season only (please enquire; offer depends on availability). Prices include 4 towels, bedlinen and electricity.

Guest comments:"Excellent value with friendly hosts and stunning views. Good location for exploring on foot, by bike or by car". Airbnb review, August 2018.

"Although it's slightly remote from the main street of Newtonmore, the views from the cottage are absolutely amazing and totally worth the extra 5 minute drive. Our cottage was spacious and had everything we may have needed. Our dog had plenty of space for his bowls and toys too. We only met Anne on check in and check out but she was very accommodating and communication was easy and quick. I would definitely recommend, especially for dog owners as there is a fantastic, beautiful field 2 minutes away for fabulous walks and wildlife spotting". Airbnb review, Sept 2017.
